Talon Cusps<\/h2>

A Talon Cusp is an extra cusp (pointed part), that forms on the back of a tooth, resembling a raptor’s talon. This condition usually affects the incisors and canines. However, while it may not cause pain, a talon cusp can interfere with bite, cause speech difficulties, and make it challenging to brush.<\/p>

Anodontia and Hypodontia<\/h2>

Anodontia is a rare genetic condition where a person is born without any teeth! It can affect both primary (baby) and permanent (adult) teeth. Total anodontia, where no teeth develop at all, is extremely rare. More commonly, people experience Hypodontia, a condition where only some teeth are missing. This can range from one or two absent teeth to several, affecting both the look of a smile and its function.<\/p>

Germinated Teeth<\/h2>

“Gemination” occurs when a single tooth bud tries to split, resulting in a tooth that appears to have two crowns but shares a single root. This often creates an oversized dentition, often referred to as a “double tooth.” While geminated teeth can be functional, they may cause crowding and alignment issues if left untreated.<\/p>

Supernumerary Teeth (Hyperdontia)<\/h2>

Supernumerary Teeth, or Hyperdontia, is a condition where extra teeth develop beyond the normal number. These extra teeth can appear anywhere in the mouth but are most common in the upper front region. Supernumerary teeth can cause crowding, and displacement of adjacent teeth, and can sometimes hamper normal tooth eruption.
